Meet the HSPC Team

  • Mark McHugh

    Pastor

“HSPC is a church community who believes that God is alive and working in the world often in hidden and unseen ways. This is a church whose primary mission is to get caught up in what the living God is doing in our midst-- to open us up, to expand our ways of being in the world, to enable us to embody the love of God in everything we do and in everything we are! While we inevitably fall short of this high call, HSPC is a family, who recognizes the need for grace over all our stories and so extends that grace to one another.  I love this peculiar, fun, faithful, hopeful, and loving bunch of humans!”

  • Ralph Carr

    Parish Associate

“I enjoy seeing how the Holy Spirit is guiding and blessing our church family whose heart and passion is to Feed People: Body, Mind, and Spirit.”

  • Rochelle Wagner

    Director of Mission & Outreach

“The people of HSPC constantly inspire me in the ways they feel called to love our neighbors. I love getting caught up in exploring with Harrison Square what our particular way of being the hands and feet of Jesus looks like as we grow together.”

Rochelle loves adventuring in the beautiful Pacific Northwest outdoors. Rochelle and her spouse Nolan are often out hiking, kayaking, or fishing on the weekends or spending time with their nieces and nephews. She also loves frequenting thrift stores and antique shops for deals and unique things to add to their home.

  • Trista Heenan

    Director of Communications

“I enjoy making connections within our congregation, as well as the local community. It brightens my day to be able to help those in need, or help connect them to the resources they need. HSPC fully embodies it’s message of Feeding People: Body, Mind and Spirit.”

When she isn’t at work, Trista is usually doing one of her many hobbies: podcasting, hiking, mounted archery, armored combat, and drumming. Trista loves reading thrillers & true crime books, yoga, her pets (Sadie - a black lab, Little Cat & Tenzing - her cats, & Arrow and Selah - her horses), concerts, and local history.

  • Mike Dobyns

    Custodian

“I help with the cleaning at HSPC, so things look as good as possible when people are here. Sweeping, dusting, scrubbing and vacuuming keep me busy here at the church.

What I like best about Harrison Square is that people are so welcoming, open-minded and open-hearted. I've really found a home here! If someone was looking for a good church to visit, I'd tell them to come here because they'll like the people and get closer to the Lord.”

Joyful Noise Childcare Staff

  • Ava Smyth

    Joyful Noise Director

“I have been a dedicated member here at A Joyful Noise since 2019 and have cherished every moment of my journey here, starting out as a Lead Teacher and quickly moving into administration. My passion for working with children runs deep, and I am truly blessed every day to be a part of this field. The opportunity to support the staff and families at Joyful Noise has been such a privilege, and it is something I hold close to my heart. I am a passion driven person and am so thankful God led me into this field and position, as I find so much reward in what I get to do.

My career in early childhood education spans over a decade, during which I have gained tons of experiences and insights into the development and growth of children. I have always believed in the strong impact that a quality provider and early education can have on a child's life, and this belief fuels my dedication. I cannot imagine myself doing anything outside of early childhood education, as it is where my true calling lies.

I hold an Associate of Arts degree specializing in Early Childhood Education and am going to continue my education to obtain a Bachelor's degree in ECE. I know how important continuing your education is in order to stay informed and updated on new research and best practices.

One of the things I find most rewarding in my role at Joyful Noise is the ability to provide children, families, and staff with the tools and resources they need to be successful. I am passionate about creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential. Every day, I am inspired by the curiosity, creativity, and resilience of the children in my care, and I am committed to furthering their growth and development. I am grateful for the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of the children, families, and staff I work with. My goal is to continue providing high-quality care and to contribute to a bright future for all children.”

  • Shaianna Kleweno

    School Age Program Director

“I have worked with our school-age program for three years. My favorite thing about this program is the relationships and connections we can provide for the families we serve in our community. It feels great to be a part of a family's safe space for their children.”
